The short version

Helio SEO sets one cookie, and only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we do not need to ask for your consent and there is no cookie banner.

Cookies we set

helio_seo_session. Keeps you signed in to your dashboard. Set when you sign in on helioseo.io and removed when you sign out. Lasts 30 days. First-party, sent only over secure connections, and cannot be read by scripts. Strictly necessary.

Storage in your browser

helio-theme. Remembers whether you chose the light, dark or system colour theme on your dashboard. Saved only when you pick one, and kept until you clear your browser's site data. It never leaves your browser. Strictly necessary for a setting you asked for.

Our website and the free check

Browsing helioseo.io or running the free AI visibility check sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser.

Articles we publish for our customers

Each article we publish for a customer carries a small script, or on some platforms a tiny image, that counts the read and which site sent the reader. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in the reader's browser, and we keep only daily totals. Customers may wish to mention it in their own privacy notice.

Typefaces from Google

Your dashboard and the blog pages we host load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser fetches them from Google, which sees your IP address. Google states that Google Fonts sets no cookies.

Checkout

When you open checkout, Paddle, our reseller, shows its own checkout and sets its own cookies there, which it needs to take payment and prevent fraud. Paddle's cookie policy, at paddle.com, explains them. Paddle sets no cookies on our pages until you open checkout.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block helio_seo_session you will not be able to sign in.
